Tempest

    Color me one unhappy pirate.

My paycheck this week was shorted.  Almost $300 short.  They didn't give me my vacation pay for the Disney trip.

I had plans for that money.  Plans that involved having a good time at Faire and paying some more of my credit card balance off.

And I am PARTICULARLY upset because my immediate supervisor is at lunch or something, and isn't working on fixing this right now.  If things are put into motion immediately, I might be able to get a check tomorrow.  Otherwise, it will be next week, at the earliest.

I have all my documentation that the leave was requested and approved, so at least it's not a mater of if I'll get my money, but when.

Still.  Mrrrrrrrrrrr. I have the desire to go raid and pillage the HR office....

There is a fluorescent light downstairs, in the Stage 2 lobby, that is on.

    This is not strange.

What is strange is that the entire fixture it has been ripped out of the ceiling and is leaning against the wall.

What is strange is that there are no cords or wires connecting this to a power source.

What is strange is that none of the OTHER lighting fixtures lying on the floor are on.

    Huh.

    Ghost Light

THIS is why I carry my camera everywhere.

I had to giggle as I walked across the Park & Ride lot to my bus this morning. There was a song blaring through someone's windows that I only recognized thanks to this website . I couldn't stop laughing.

Sometimes the coincidences in my life amuse the hell out of me.

I'm feeling crazy the last few days. Actually, I'm feeling myself (not that way, boys!...well, maybe ;-)  ) the last few days. I must have been in a depressive funk for the last few weeks (or months), but not one so deep that I noticed I was being depressive. I was just cranky and no fun.

This week, I want to do things like wear my pirate hat to work (on a day I ride mass transit!), dance on the corner of 14th and Peachtree because a really awesome song just came on my iPod, dye streaks of burgundy and purple in my hair, and throw a Star Trek TNG Drinking Game party. Yes, that variety of insanity is the real me.

So far, I've only WANTED to do those things. Give me a few more days like this, and I'll probably start ACTUALLY doing them, embarrassing the hell out of tomomallie. Hey, he can just deal. That's the type of girl he fell in love with that day in the Brewers Pub. Can he handle being married to her? Only time and insanity will tell.

I think my elevated mood might be due to the fact that I'm now mostly recovered from overwork and exhaustion, and my finances are looking very slightly up. As in this is the first week in a month and a half that I don't think I'll have to either borrow money from tomomallie or use my credit card to pay for gasoline. (Thank GODDESS for my comp Faire tickets!) And, if I keep paying off my debt at it's current rate, I should be debt free (except for my car payments) by next year.

Tonight's more fun than usual to-do:
    ~Sew whiskeyfyre's DoW pants.
    ~Tidy the studio.
~Put something from the e-bay pile on e-bay.
    ~Enjoy a nice shower.
~Unpack some more of my office stuff.
~Buy new lipstick for this weekend (since my last one went from needing-viagra to slept-with-lorenna-bobbitt in the heat last weekend)
~Find my PotC: CotBP DVD so tomomallie and I can watch the first two movies before next Friday.

Not working my a$$ (Oooo, I'm naughty and used a prohibited word so I have to edit my post!!!  Fook that!) off continually is so very nice!
