Just so you know, those Tide-To-Go pens really work! Quite well. I spilled some coffee on my new white t-shirt during show preset yesterday. So, I got the Tide pen out of my stage manager's kit and went at it. Once it had dried, the stain was completely gone, and I was pleased and impressed.
Of course once it dried, it smelled like ASS! Seriously reeked in a totally nasty way. I spent the rest of the night alternately glad that I was isolated up in my booth, so no one else would have to smell me, and wishing I had some perfume or cologne or body spray or something! It was one of the nastiest things I had ever smelled in my life; and a lifetime working in theatre, you end up sniffing some nasty reeks!
I've come up with a new idea for a photo series. I'm calling it "Progression of Spring." I completely LOVE the way trees look silhouetted against the sky. It's always been one of my favorite sights. So, since the trees are slowly working their way into bloom, here, I'm going to take a picture of the tree right outside my office every day, to track the changes. (Well, not EVERY day. Every day I go to work. I'm not driving 60 miles just to take a photograph on my days off.)

Better today. Not 100%, and I still have all my symptoms, but they're much less intense. I actually managed to eat my breakfast this morning. I do, however, feel as if someone hit me across the base of my skull with a baseball bat. I need a good massage!
Tommy put me in bed and made me chicken noodle soup when I got home from the theatre last night. It was very nice of him.
Last night, I dreamed I was a werewolf. Who transformed REALLY slow. Goddess, it was annoying! And I couldn't run worth shit. Seriously, what's the point of being a werewolf if you can't even enjoy a good fast run in the woods?
Since I am feeling better, I got off my arse and downloaded the pictures of the closet organizers I built. From a pile of lumber and screws to functional furniture in four hours, not bad. Also, for everyone's amusement and edification I'm including pictures of what our bedroom and bathroom looked like when everything from our closet exploded out.
This is the bedroom from one angle.
And from another angle.
And the bathroom. What a disaster. And poor Tommy cleaned it all up!
Look what I built! Have you got any idea how hard it is to take pictures of something this big in a closet?

OMG, I am sooo sick. I'm exhausted, I feel like I'm going to shake apart, I can't regulate my temperature, I can't bear the thought of food, and it feels like a little package of acid exploded in my insides. I haven't felt this bad since I outgrew my Still's disease. Actually, that's exactly what this feels like: my bad Still's days. Oh, wouldn't that be irony: to get both the juvenile and adult on-set forms...
Despite my illness, and I managed to get the closet organizers built last night. 4 hours from when I got to home to when I put down my tools and was done. Not bad for a very sick little girl. Of course the front room, bedroom and bathroom are totally trashed right now. That will get fixed eventually. Pictures will be posted...eventually. I am too wiped out to bother about getting them off my camera right now. I seriously want to lie down on the floor and sleep. Sleep last night wasn't the best, with the tossing and the moaning and the severe pain... And I've got six more hours at this job and then a show to run tonight. Got to conserve my energy. Walking up a flight of stairs damn near killed me.
You know, I might deal with being sick better if I wasn't so obnoxiously healthy almost all of the time...

The storm that roiled through Atlanta this morning was pretty much done by the time I got into town. I didn't see much evidence of it, either. What I did see was pretty impressive, though. A heavy planter, tree and all, knocked all the way over on the sidewalk; a traffic light arm pushed to a 45 degree angle across the street, as opposed to it's usual 90 angle. That last one was impressive!
Of course, I also saw some blooming trees!!! None by me, but Lindsay has one!
I took some pictures of the city shrouded in cloud, and a few building shots that I hoped would be interesting, during my commute, this morning. Got to love Atlanta traffic. You sit still long enough to get bored and start snapping photographs! I haven't looked at them yet; they may all be crap. Instead, I give you this hysterical picture I snapped of my rockin' backstage girls last week:
"The photographer surprises a pair of the elusive back-stage-crew-members with an unexpected bright flash in their usually shadowy world."
I was trying to get a picture of the nightly "coffee and cookie time," but apparently all I did was surprise them. I'm very impressed by Darla being cut perfectly in half. Makes the picture pretty interesting. I couldn't have done that on purpose if I had tried!
This weather better clear up, though. I had plans to build that closet organizer (and Tommy has plans to ravish me once I'm sweaty and covered in sawdust) tonight. Can't do that if it's icky, though; my build space is on the porch!

Another strange dream last night. Becky and I got married. It was a big, fun, silly ceremony. Sorry, Tommy and Wade, but we were very happy! ;-)
The grand plans for the closet organizer are a day or two behind at this point. Lowe's was closed by the time I got there last night. Damn talk-back after the show! It was only supposed to last half an hour. I got out of there an hour and a half later than usual. *sigh* Oh well. I'll just have to stop on the way home tonight. I'm so glad my teeny tiny car will fit an 8' stick of lumber!
I took another series of interesting pictures at the Horizon before yesterday's show. I was hanging around in the stairwell between backstage and stage left when I looked down and saw something cool! I took a bunch of shots, and then decided to play with the colors on a few of them.
I'm having a great deal of fun finding little artistic things like that to keep my camera occupied. And backstage at a theatre sort of pre-disposed to this sort of thing. I'm going to have to work much harder for my daily pictures once this show closes.
